DocuSign dashboard widgets and search capabilities

Does this scenario sound familiar?

Agnieszka is a Procurement manager at a large retailer in the United States. The company uses Medius Contracts Management with DocuSign for supplier contracts. The contracts often have several appendices in the form of drawings attached, that all need to be signed as part of the main contract. Hence, Agnieszka is a regular user of the DocusSign envelope functionality where she can compile all documents that belong to one contract and send them all in one container to the supplier to sign.

Current state before the hack:

Naturally when searching for specific contracts Agnieszka wants to search for envelopes. She either searched through the individual envelopes or uses the document search page, accessed via the main menu, for a free-text search across all contract documentation you have access to in the system. Often this search provides more hits than Agnieszka needs, in separate documents, and the result is difficult to overview to find specific envelopes.

Solution

Go to our new dedicated envelope search page. The new page offers filters that allow you to quickly find an envelope. You can then access the envelope directly from search results. For example; All envelopes you have access to, envelopes you created or envelopes you’re a recipient of.

Links to the envelope search page are also added in the following dashboard widgets:

  • Envelopes by Status
  • Envelope Usage (per month)
  • Management Alerts – eSignature section alerts

Benefits

  • Save time when locating a particular DocuSign envelope more easily.
  • Better overview and filtering for envelope searches.

Set up

  • This functionality is available only on Medius Contract Management systems configured with the DocuSign feature. Please contact your Account Manager if you would like to learn more.
  • Access restrictions: The envelope search page allows you to perform a free-text search across all DocuSign envelopes for contracts you have access to in the system.
